Is this a good home theater setup?

Booker Warlick: The vulnerable spot in that image is the "DD 5.a million" gadget. The audio gadget and receiver are low fee $two hundred container gadget that relatively promises a million enter for sound. a lot of those structures in basic terms take left/appropriate analog enter so which you loose all of the 5.a million sound. That image gets away with it by using fact it makes use of the two inputs on the television to show you how to hook up 2 contraptions. you're SOL in case you attempt and hook up a HD cable or HD sat or the different gadget. you easily need to pass with a ful-sized AV receiver with a 'wooded area' of spare inputs to show you how to hook up extra issues. So no - it relatively is not a stable setup, it is sub-time-honored or has 0 potential to strengthen....Show more

Ricardo Rozelle: The tv is great, but look at a Panasonic 50" or 54" Plasma tv, they are less expensive and a much better tv. Get the G10 model, they are THX certified. Receiver, s! ee if you can upgrade to a 607 model (this is rated by Home Theater magazine as the best entry level receiver). For speakers I would consider getting a Klipsch quintet satellite and the sub 10 sub woofer. They are a much better speaker system than the Polk speakers. You can demo the speakers at Best Buy, bring your own source of material for the demo. Last year I purchase the same speakers while on sale for $299, didn't get the sub woofer already had one. I also use an Onkyo 805 receiver. Hope this will help you out and good luck....Show more
