Over here it's becky or plastic.
answers7: Judging by what other people say on here about those stores
the style would be called preppy

the label, it leads to nothing but trouble and posers

Is emo still in style?

answers1: Totally.
answers2: It doesn't matter. Be yourself, and if you like the emo
style, then wear it ;)
answers3: Emo isn't a style unless you count self harming and
depression a style I think what you mean is Scene or gothic punk and
you shouldn't dress a certain way because it's the "Trend" dressing is
a way of self expression. Trust me we don't dress this way because
it's the in style. We do it because it's our personality
answers4: emo isnt really a style its a way to show emotion.
answers5: Who cares?
answers6: people who are emo do not care about whats in style :P even
if its not in style emos are still around :)
answers7: LOL it was never a style for specfic years or times of years
and still is not. It's for whoever decides to portray that look. Pick
a look, you like, and do it. Theoretically 80's hairband look is a
style for september 2011 ;)
answers8: It doesn't have to be in style for you to be emo, be who you
want. I'm a scene and I live in New Jersey where barely anybody is
scene. so why did I become scene? because I wanted to (: you should do
what you want (unless your parents disapprove) But yes emo is still in
style. (:
answers9: Ya if thats your style choice then its always in.
answers10: emo isnt a style that in or out its a style thats you or not

Gene Kelly Dance Styles?

answers1: He was obviously strong in tap, jazz and broadway styles, as
was displayed in Singin' In The Rain, and he also had good technique
from ballet training earlier on.
answers2: Gene Kelly Dance Style
answers3: Gene Kelly was famous for his tap, jazz, and smooth Broadway
style of dance. I would definitely recommend you check out his films
or some YouTube videos, as he has a very distinct style.
answers4: From watching him in "Singing in the Rain", I would say his
style was more of a hybrid of styles, including ballet, tap, musical
comedy and jitterbugging. Taking elements from modern dance, classical
and American folk dancing.
answers5: Tap/ballet a great performer. "Singing in the Rain" is the
best musical.

Fighting style that...?

answers1: I have never heard of a martial arts that was created with
such thing in mind specifically. However you can use most martial arts
as basis to accomplish that goal if you choose to try. <br>
<br>
At the moment the closest thing that comes to mind about 'designed
specifically counter other styles' would have to be US army's bayonet
drills that was designed to fight against European fencers around
world war period.
answers2: Ideally they should all do just that. Problem is most places
"teaching" go the easy route for max profit and minimal results. This
is where the student loses. In my opinion if you find a place that
gets you to focus on the other guy in terms of size or strength you
are being taught to lose. Find someone who teaches you an art in a way
that you can "fit in" to whatever situation and whatever kind of
opponent. The second your mind says, this guy is too big, too fast or
anything like that you are deleting yourself and losing opportunities
to defend yourself. Most schools everywhere teach this way which is
very sad. There is no style that guarantees you would win every time.
<br>
Anyone who says any specific style does what you are asking has been mislead.
answers3: Get your penis hard, then slap the phuck out of them with
it. It's what I've done in the past, and it worked REALLY good.
answers4: A punch is a punch and a kick is a kick. How you defend
against it depends on the circumstances and what you perceive as
important or most urgent at that moment. All styles if properly
trained is geared towards defending against an attack regardless of
the attacking style. The idea that a style is created specifically
to be used against a specific style or a class of styles is silly;
you might as well ask if there is an umbrella for day and one for
night rain or one for spring and one for summer. The purpose is for
the umbrella to be useful for ALL occasions.
answers5: The army maybe? i guess any serious combat self defense system.
answers6: The style that beats all styles? That sounds like the plot
of a Japanese anime cartoon. No, there is no "one style" that beats
all others, but most MMA schools teach the best techniques from BJJ,
wrestling, Muay Thai, and boxing.
answers7: I agree that any style can be defeated. We often do partner
drills in which one person does a technique and the other defeats that
technique. This is not just against our own techniques but some of us
are trained in multiple styles. I insist on using different techniques
if you know different techniques. I have had other students from other
styles come in and work with us and i have also in return gone to
other schools to help their students with techniques I know. So it is
part of our training. <br>
But I do know what you mean. More schools than not are so absorbed in
themselves they would never allow another style in their school. I
have been to those too and if I do something from another style during
a sparring match I almost always get it in and moreover get a dumb
look from my opponent like I was cheating. There is no cheating in
fighting. <br>
Bottom line it's all how you train. If you keep your head in the sand
you will likely get a surprise from an attacker who does not know how
to fight with your style. But all traditional styles that I know of
(there may be some that don't IDK) are made to defeat any technique if
you train that way. I also say traditional simply because that is what
I train in and I am not knowledgeable enough to judge any other styles
on that field. But i am wondering about the sports styles because they
do limit themselves to stay within the rules already on top of
limiting themselves to only train and fight against others who follow
the same rules.
answers8: Tae kwon do
answers9: Kenpo Karate or Kajukenbo.
answers10: All styles are meant for that. And FYI mma is not a
fighting style, nor a style of martial arts, its a training method
just like cross training. A style is universal, what you learn in one
school you will learn in another, the techniques are the same. This is
not true for mma, one gym will teach completely different then another

The average girl would rather have beauty than brains ...?

answers1: I think beauty does fade away as one gets older but so does
brains. In the end, I think it just depends on what the average girl
wants. If it's attractiveness, then beauty. If it's intelligence, then
brains. It's really that simple.
answers2: Yes but only if she wants a man with no brains....and not
all man are like that.
answers3: Probably true -- society values beauty over brains in women
by a factor of about 1 million.
answers4: Both sexes judge the opposite sex by appearance. It's just
the women are better at seeing beyond the externals, and appreciating
a man for who he actually is. <br>
<br>
The problem for many attractive women is that men are attracted to
their face or body, but not to who they are inside, and too often the
"inside" aches because it is not acknowledged by they guy. It is
actually better for a woman to not be attractive ... then, when a guy
wants her, it's because he sees & appreciates who she really is. When
this happens, her feelings & her needs matter too.
answers5: I think that the average girl prefers brains. <br>
I, for example, like girls with big brains, preferably D cup...
answers6: Women and Men both want looks over brains... that's life
answers7: Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.
answers8: Looking good would make a good first impression, but keeping
that good impression requires a certain amount of intelligence.

What is your definition of beauty?

answers1: Usually, when you say beauty you think of the PERFECT face.
like nothing's wrong with that person. REAL beauty is in the inside.
If you act stupidly and become stubborn. Chances are your physical
beauty will not be accounted for. so yeah, REAL beauty is essential.
;)
answers2: Audry Hepburn wrote this poem, and it was read at her funeral: <br>
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek
out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the
hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it
once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk
alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed,
revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if
you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of
your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two
hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others
answers3: An non-bias mind...
answers4: Beauty is what you still see <br>
When you close your eyes <br>
at night.
answers5: Those can help us feel a sense of happiness.
answers6: Beauty Lies In The Eyes Of Beholder!!! <br>
Everyone has a different type of person he likes... <br>
And the example ot that is that one thing can be liked for some and
hated for others... <br>
There is no stereotype...
answers7: Beauty is what after feeling. you won't ever try let go of
it...Beauty will always travel through the sands of time. Beauty in a
narrow sense might be the external appearance but this definition only
rationalizes & downplays the meaning & essence of beauty! Everything
that you may find God in, is Beauty!
answers8: Wow, you really like a challenge! Beauty is something that
needs to be seen before it can be explained, it doesn't really work
the other way around.

Guys, do you look at inner beauty?

answers1: i actually posted a question earlier if it was normal for me
to not care about looks but only personality, <br>
i only care about personality. looks mean nothing to me
answers2: Yes, but I think physical beauty is what guys are initially
attracted to. But a girl can be good looking, but really its up to
the personality and inner beauty for the relationship to carry on from
there.
answers3: well most guys look for outer beauty to get started. if shes
good looking they get interested after a while of knowing her and she
has a horrible iner beauty then they dump her....but guys look at
outer beauty first because they dont know enough about there inner
beauty but if they did and they really liked it then outer beauty
wouldnt matter. <br>
get me?=]
answers4: Well to be totally honest there is only one biggie and
that's overweight women but if all else is average then its a cosmetic
issue and getting to know them .come on there is nothing sexy about a
fat girl in a mickey mouse t shirt with her hair wadded up in stretch
pants and no make up.
answers5: yeah but that comes second usually. You see someone first so
it is only natural. Eventually though most guys don't want a troll so
that's when personality kicks in.
answers6: That is a tricky question..

Monday 16 December 2019

In your eyes, what is beauty?

answers1: beauty is being confident in who you are.
answers2: natural girl with no make up and no hair dye or done hair,
basically natural beauty. id like to see a girl like that, and when i
do, THAT will be beauty. <br>
<br>
girls now a days are dependent of all those things, its basically fake
beauty, not real.
answers3: In my eyes beauty goes way beyond the outside look . <br>
like you say it is true what the media has done, thinking beauty is
all abt having a nice body, a "flawless" face, etc . but the truth is
that is too superficial for our own good. we forget about what people
have inside to offer .. like a nice sense of humor, a kind
personality, a charming laugh. <br>
nowadays everyone is looking for a hot guy/girl and what they have in
their heart or brain doesn't matter as much . <br>
i believe beauty is all about having a nice personality and believing
in yourself. We might believe that a stunning body will do the work ..
but we're not gonna look the same forever . is who we really are what
counts . I personally think you're a beautiful person because you
think abt things like this and like me i believe we have the same
definition of beauty .. you even took the time to ask this . <br>
we have to accept everyone the way they are a big nose or bad hair
wont matter to someone that is looking to find real beauty . <br>
<br>
hope i answered your question =]
answers4: Natural and inner beauty. <br>
<br>
I agree, the media has distorted beauty. *ahem* Taylor Momsen *ahem*
answers5: Natural eye and hair color. Confidence. <br>
Healthy and happy. A beautiful smile.
answers6: beauty is something that's inside of you. just because you
look really pretty on the outside doesn't necessarily mean you are on
the inside. i personally think that 'beauty' is a person with a
kind-heart and has understandings to things. i don't mean that people
with attractive features aren't beautiful, but i'm saying that media
tries to make people think that beauty is only what's on the outside
of a person and how they appear which is totally wrong and i strongly
disagree. everyone is beautiful in their own ways.
answers7: Beauty is how u luk but in my eyes true beauty is wat u
reflect to others from the inside.
answers8: Beauty is a woman with a sexy body, great personalities,
warm-blooded, selfishless, intelligent, caring, and willing to stay
with her only one.
answers9: you can wear makeup and still have a deep inner beauty people

Girls: Cologne or Natural Body Scent on Guys?

answers1: usually cologne but in some situation i prefer natural body
scent (u know when)
answers2: Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce Cologne. The girls will never
stop. Trust me.
answers3: cologne!! for suree! :D mmmhmmm! <br>
<br>
no one wants to smell the Bodyodor. if thats what you mean by "natural
body scent"
answers4: Natural body... I mean wear deodorant and use soap but like
DONT over do it on cologne
answers5: Just a bit of cologne is great, something manly, not sweet.
answers6: Hmm, try lots of the Burberry line, you wish those... Creeds
are outstanding, yet they're very very costly. some to envision out
could be eco-friendly Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water, Himalaya,
and perchance their Vetiver. the two Armani Code and innovations-set
are extremely solid to boot.
answers7: Cologne. Just do not put too much on!
answers8: Sweat and Body Odor, it gets me all excited. so excited I
could just... sin
answers9: it depends on the scent. i like when a guy wears cologne but
not tooo much ... just a hint and it has to smell good... it makes the
girl want to get closer to you (;
answers10: it depends the girl if the girl is not prity complitly or
does not have something special and the Cologne <br>
gives her something ok no problem, but i prefer girls who are natural
upcorse i do not mean ugly or fat or something like that
answers11: Cologne for special occasions and natural with buddies. <br>
<br>
I love what guys use on their face after they shave. I don't know
what that is. It's some kind of after shave fragrance. Makes you so
manly <3

Do body wraps really work? Can you see results the first time you do it?

answers1: I like body wraps because you have so few opportunities to
exfoliate/moisturize your whole body. Doing body wraps also makes my
hands really soft. As far a weight loss, any effect would be
immediate, minimal and completely temporary.

Thursday 12 December 2019

Body Fat??

answers1: fat caliber, water scale, and many other devices to help you
figure it out. the simplest one is the fat caliber though
answers2: There is a program you use to calculate your body fat,
search for it. For a female you measure your wrist, forearm and hips,
then enter the data into the program. Im in the army and use the
program to tape soldiers who fail their weigh in..... I could try to
email the program to your yahoo if you want.
answers3: only when it seems to be a issue ie; bleep I gained 10 lbs. <br>
ok my weight need not be a issue but I like to have a tiny butt.

Is Trey Songz considered light-skinned, brown-skinned or dark-skinned in the Black community?

insane? <br>

answers2
: Trey Songz hasn't had braids in a really long time, and he's
never been that light.
answers3: Race traitor
answers4: I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you are really a light
skinned black guy pretending to be a white girl.
answers5: He's so ugly. You have horrible taste in men, lol.
answers6: Hes dark skinned. There's no such thing is middle. It's
either you light or dark. <br>
<br>
Stupid African American girls don't like calling him dark skin because
they were brain washed by their white masters so they look down on
"dark skin black males." It's pretty pathetic.
answers7: Iight Brown skin, he's certainly not dark skinned. ..
answers8: Yeah, Trey Songz has a more Brownskin/Light skin skin tone
at least to me. He isn't dark nor light. He's like between
light-skinned and brownskinned. <br>
LOL at you saying dark-skinned. Akon, P-Diddy, Kanye West are what you
call dark skin.
answers9: He doesn't have light skin. Brown, tanned, and olive skin
are not light skin, therefore he is not light skinned.
answers10: Someone white just asked a question saying that blacks
resemble apes! Lol. Apparently, all blacks resemble apes even your boy
Trey Songz. Lol. I think he's cute BTW.

What skin color are you?

answers1: Blotchy pale, lol. I guess I like the color I have now, but
I wish my legs were more tan because they look so veiny right now. My
arms are the same way; they're like, pale and blue. D:
answers2: I am light tan and I wouldn't change my skin color. People
compliment my skin all the time.
answers3: my skin is white, pale with pinkish hues.
answers4: I'm kind of pale pinkish yellow, that colour that everyone
mistakes for white. <br>
<br>
I'd rather blue. <br>
<br>
No, green! ^‿^
answers5: i like the exterior tone of almost any coloration. possibly
because of the fact i'm an Artist. With diverse epidermis tones, come
diverse facial valuable aspects too. i'm so satisfied all of us do no
longer seem an identical. How uninteresting that is.
answers6: I'm 1/8 cast aboriginal so I'm more white than black.. Just
look like I've got a tan all year round.. I like my skin colour and
wouldn't want to be any different !! <br>
)o(
answers7: <<<<< I'm obviously pink :P <br>

How does diet affect skin quality?

answers1: Very healthy diet=beautiful, flawless healthy skin, <br>
Crappy diet=nasty red acne filled skin. <br>
<br>
<br>
Simple as that =]
answers2: Olive oil is really good for the skin, heart and hair.
Protien is also good for your hair. All in all, a healthy diet will
make you look like a healthy person.
answers3: My skin is very clear. It is important to drink lots of
water as well as maintaining a healthy diet. My downfall is Italian
bread.
answers4: I had horrible acne that was so bad i actually had painful
cysts under my skin. I would have to have them drained and all this
white stuff with puss and blood would come out of them. Turns out I
also had MRSA which is a resistant form of bacteria found on 1/4 of
peoples skin. When I became a vegetarian my skin cleared up
drastically and now I just have an occasional zit but no more cysts to
be drained. It took about a year to finally clear up from all the
cysts but my skin has never looked better and it has been five years
now.
answers5: drinking plenty of water,and staying away from the greasy
foods=healthy skin
answers6: I eat vegetarian and my skin is still there.
answers7: If I don't drink enough water, my skin breaks out. Lots of
fruit and veggies + lots of water = healthy skin.
answers8: For Vegetarians or Vegans if you add oils like flaxseed,
pumpkin or almond oil to your diet, plus a few nuts here and there it
will help you skin remain clear and soft. <br>
<br>
Also raw veggies, add the nessessary nutrients for healthy skin,
seaweed is good for you hair and as most are non dairy eaters,
protiens like tofu, beans, nuts and legumes like lentils and grains
like rice, cornmeal and oatmeal. <br>
<br>
They supply carbs and the needed minerals to help keep your skin from
flaking, I eat oatmeal everyday, and am 50 still have my hair and my
fingernails grow way to fast.
answers9: A little yellowing is normal

children skin color between parents?

answers1: I am the middle child of three and I am mixed (my dad is
black my mom is white) and we sort of are in the middle. Tan but not
too dark. my older brother is darkest and I am lightest. My younger
brother is in the middle, but he is a newborn so his skin might
change.
answers2: No. Not at all. <br>
It depends on the color of the mother and fathers skin. Usually the
baby will be somewhere in-between in the two skin tones. It has
happened though where say the mother is white and the father is black
and the baby will be white. Genetics are a funny thing, and are pretty
unpredictable. <br>
<br>
so if the father has darker skin, more than likely the baby will have
darker skin than the mother but not quite as dark as the father.
answers3: No, it's random. <br>
My sister is dark, her husband is light. She had 3 girls, 1 was
white, 2 were dark.
answers4: That depends on genes, anything can happen. Including albinos.

prefect skin?

answers1: i do no longer know approximately prefect skins, yet i do no
longer think of everyone has appropriate pores and skin, maximum
individuals locate flaws in approximately their bodies some way or yet
another, pores and skin being area of it. each and every so often
(lots of the time probably to be trustworthy) actresses, variety's and
so on. have their bodies and pores and skin airbrushed in magazines,
yet a minority of folk actual have pores and skin it particularly is
on the area of appropriate. some persons are born with incredible
pores and skin (genetics and so on.) some are primped and preened till
their pores and skin glows.
answers2: it depends on your skin type but in the mornings, use the
clean and clear brand for the morning burst and healthy glow. they
really give you a good glow to your face and it looks really good!
answers3: no ones skin is perfect. good diet, exercise and keeping
your skin clean and hydrated will go a long way.

Makeup or no makeup? Which one looks better?

answers1: To be honest, I really can't tell much of a difference. I
prefer the photo in which you're not wearing makeup; you seem to have
naturally beautiful skin, so I don't really see any need for you to
wear make up unless it just makes you feel prettier. It's a little
hard to tell though because makeup photo is so dark compared to the no
makeup one.
answers2: Top, your hair looks better darker :)
answers3: I like the look with the makeup better...
answers4: You look great in both of them, but I have to say, I think
you actually look better WITHOUT makeup, which is pretty rare. You are
naturally beautiful, so makeup only gets in the way! Confidence is the
most attractive thing someone can have, don't worry so much about what
you can do to look better! :)
answers5: make up
answers6: makeup. i like the look (: makes your eyes stand out
answers7: Why did you post two pictures with completely different
lighting, they both have to be the same to be able to say which one is
better, the one with makeup looks too dark.
answers8: No make up, and you look good already so no changes.

Makeup vs. Natural Beauty?

answers1: Makeup is for enhancing your natural beauty, so i think
women with it are more confident and beautiful. But only if the makeup
is natural and doesnt cover up like a mask. Sometimes gals are
confident enough to be without makeup, which is perfectly fine too.
answers2: Make up is nice only if you dont cake it on. Im in high
school and nearly all the gurls wear makeup blusher everything! And
they just look like they have been photoshoped. I just wear a bit of
mascara and mineral powder or bronzer. and i think thats the max a
girl should have on for every day use. Good on ya. I bet ur skins
clear and nice that you dont use make up :)
answers3: it goes like this: #1. good makeup on a beauty 2. natural
beauty 3. beauty in bad makeup 4. ugly in bad makeup
answers4: i'm a girl, but i'm just saying this: without makeup,
everyone would think natural beauty is better and wouldn't cake makeup
on their face to look better. just saying. :P but i wear makeupp.
answers5: I don't mind a bit of make up but don't Cale it on so your
face turns orange because it makes you look tarty
answers6: I wear makeup and I enjoy putting it on, but it's no big
deal if I leave the house without it. I had swim class second period
this year and I always forgot to put on makeup, so no biggie.
answers7: Make up! Because it brings out the best in your Beauty Like
Megan Fox!!Omg she is gorgeous...

Friday 22 November 2019

do you wear makeup on Sundays??

answers1: Yes, I just feel better.
answers2: i wear makeup everyday! haha, it is fun. i dont wear much,
except if im going out at night or something. but i wear at least
mascara everyday.
answers3: On occasion. I'm not really a make up person. I rarely wear
it, with the exception of mascara and lipgloss.
answers4: Only if I'm going somewhere.
answers5: Usually I don't, I like to go at least one day without all of it.
answers6: i wear make-up every day coz yer it is fun lol i have a
whole chester draw full of make-up shame to let it go to waste!
answers7: yes

Mixing mineral makeup and liquid makeup?

answers1: I do it the other way around for nicer events. I use liquid
makeup as a concealer and the help event out my tone (cheeks are pink)
and then I use mineral foundation all over for a matte finish! ^.^
answers2: Hi Ayla! <br>
<br>
You've asked a really good question. You can use them both, and you
can actually mix minerals with liquid makeup – or any other type of
makeup for that matter. <br>
<br>
Most makeup contains pigments added to a base and a binder is used to
hold it together. Minerals are just the pigment part of it with a
very small amount of a filler base. That's it. You could even take a
little bit of your foundation and then mix in a tiny amount of your
concealer to punch up the color. Then try dabbing it on. <br>
<br>
Several pages of my website are devoted to tweaking makeup with
mineral makeup pigments. <br>
<br>
Hope this helps, <br>

answers3: Just use liquid foundation , then put mineral powder over the top.
answers4: I just use the Liquid Minerals and Pressed Powder from Bee
Luscious. The liquid is a mineral foundation and oil free so it won't
clog your pores. Then I use the powder for even things out. What is
really great is that it feels very light! These will NOT cake no
matter what you do.

does long hair look good when your hair isnt really thick?

answers1: i actual think of those with rather thick, curly, dry hair
(me secure) can accomplish a good looking scrunch. i thinned my hair
and that i take advantage of alot of mouse and gel whilst my hair is
damp. it ought to bypass.
answers2: yea, I actually think it can look better although i like
cropped cuts with thin hair <br>
If you get layers it can help it to look thicker
answers3: Have your hair cut in layers with the hair behind longer and
the hair on top shorter. This way it will look fuller and have more
body. After that, any style will look good!
answers4: YES IT DOES <br>
AND A GOOD HAIRSTYLE IS TO WHERE IT IN ALOT OF CURLS <br>

fine, it's easier to style than if it's thin(though if it's fine it
will look thin).

straight hair, frizzy hair, curly hair?

answers1: doesn't matter as long as you can work it!!!
answers2: Curly !!!! <br>
It looks Realy Nice and natural <br>
and its soo much better then straightening it all the time!
answers3: i have realy frizzy hair but i always straighten it some
times i curl it and some times i just leav it the way it is it depends
where u r going who u gonna meet what kide of make up u wear type of
coths u know in the end every persone has the hair that looks good on
him or her so ya
answers4: You can't really say how they make people look its how
people can use there hair type to there advantage. <br>
<br>
Personally i have really frizzy hair && i hate it. However, i know
someone who has really frizzy hair but its looks really nice because
she can use it to get really good curls. <br>
I also know someone who has perfect straight hair but hates it and
wants curls. <br>
<br>
It all depends on the person and how well they can cope with dealing
with there hair type. I use straighteners nearly every day && i know
my hair is damaged yet because i hate the frizz that much i have to
straighten it. But, yet i love my natural curls when there not frizz.
<br>
The length && colour can also make people look different in there own
personal way. Red & black hair is alot more shocking then say Blonde
or Brunette. Doesnt mean there any worse or better its just how people
look and suit hair styles =)
answers5: I have frizzy hair but not many people know cuz I straighten
it like everyday
answers6: I like curly hair. Not only because I have curly hair, but
also because a lot of people say that it's cool to have curly hair.
Specially when the way it curls it's so pretty.
answers7: Is say straight, frizzy, curly, wavy dosent matter....... I
like healthy, thick and clean hair.
answers8: I think everyone hates frizzy hair...its a nightmare to
style! I think straight hair is more classic and curly hair makes a
change for when going out etc. I also really like loose curls, so the
hair is straight till half way down but curls hanging down at the end!
answers9: Well...considering that my hair is kinda curly (only at the
end of my hair as my hair is long & the weight of my ponytail keeps
the curls down....THANK GOD!), I personally despise curly & I don't
like frizzy either. I'd have to say that I'm attracted to straight
hair....with perhaps just a few waves to give it an extra bounce of
beauty. <br>
<br>
For people who have frizzy/curly hair, I'm sorry if I have offended
you. It was not my intention as I have curly hair myself.

Anyone pretty knowledgeable with assault rifle accessories?

answers1: Depends on the scope. It might require a 30mm or a 1inch
scope rings. Is the AR15 a flattop? <br>
<br>
If you search for it on amazon, you'll see they recommend some rings
with it: <br>
<br>
<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Leupold-Rifleman-Detachable-Medium-55860/dp/B001HN5HA2/ref=pd_bxgy_sg_text_y/182-9984224-6670941"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.amazon.com/Leupold-Rifleman-D...</a>
<br>
<br>
Here's the scope: <br>
<br>
<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Weaver-Classic-Rimfire-Scope-849431-2-5-7X28mm/dp/B002HS8QVS"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.amazon.com/Weaver-Classic-Rim...</a>
<br>
<br>
See at the bottom it recommends some rings? <br>
<br>
For my ar15 I use a EOTech 512 with the zoomer on it. I love it since
I can flip between long distant and close up. I run it with a BUIS
system of a matech backup and a front sight with arms folding. Overall
it really depends on what he likes. If he's into long distant then
probably a scope would be ideal but if he's just into some general
shooting, a reddot would probably be better. The setup I have is not
that pricey but it is pricey. <br>
<br>
If your husband likes ar15 and he wants a scope, the holy grail of ar
optics are probably Leupold scopes or Trijicon acog. They are quite a
bit pricey but are well worth it compared to a cheap 100 dollars
scope. <br>
<br>
If I had a wife unit and she was to buy me accessories, I would
probably like either magazines or be allowed to choose my own
accessories with permission of course. However, being apparent that
you bought it for him, I can't imagine he'd be upset or concerned over
what accessories you get him unless of course he specifically
mentioned he wanted that particular ar15. <br>
<br>
Edit: Highly, highly recommended to not buy accessories at the store.
There are a lot of good places to buy online like from Amazon or
BravoCompanyUsa. It is a heck of a lot cheaper though. The store
always sells for twice as much as you can get online. The only problem
with online is you need to get the stuff from reputable sources.
answers2: I really think that surprising him should be less important
than getting him the right accessory, but if you have to choose rings
before he sees them, go with medium height rings. <br>
<br>
And I would suggest that, if you can, also buy him a few magazines. I
saw 2-packs of 30 round AR mags at Bass Pro for $25 the other day: <a
href="http://www.basspro.com/CAA-30-Round-Standard-Polymer-Magazine-2-Pack/product/1308221018/"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.basspro.com/CAA-30-Round-Stan...</a>
<br>
<br>
Personally, I think that Magpul PMAGs are about the best magazine you
can buy, though, so you might check into buying him two or three of
those. Believe me, he will appreciate having extra magazines! <br>
<br>
EDIT: Just for future reference, do NOT refer to an AR-15 as an
"assault rifle." It isn't one. It's not even an "assault weapon." It's
simply a rifle.
answers3: Hmm...optics are a tricky gift because most shooters have
very particular shooter preferences. <br>
If you really want to get him a little surprise accessory, I might
suggest a foregrip if one can be attached. <br>
(This would be attached beneath the barrel if there are rails up there.) <br>
<br>
OR, a really neat little gift idea that I just found recently could be
this: <a href="http://shop.customgunrails.com/Large-Laser-Engraved-Aluminum-LEA_c88.htm?page=all"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://shop.customgunrails.com/Large-Las...</a>
<br>
<br>
As long as he has rails somewhere to put it, it would be a nice little
accessory, doesn't have any specifics that he would need to be picky
about, and you could customize it or get one you KNOW he'd like!
answers4: Given: <br>
1. He may well know what he wants/needs in the way of optics. <br>
2. You want to surprise him. <br>
3. You want to avoid making a several thousand dollar mistake by
getting the wrong hardware which someone would have to go through the
hassle of returning. <br>
<br>
Solution: <br>
1. Buy him a gift certificate from his favorite store and put it in
his birthday card. <br>
or <br>
2. Take a 3 x 5 card and write --- "This card entitles the bearer to
select the optics hardware of his choice." --- or some such wording.
You can place the 3 x 5 card in his birthday card. <br>
<br>
Advantages: <br>
1. He gets what he needs/wants the first time. <br>
2. You still get to surprise him. <br>
3. It's a win - win situation.
answers5: I have two scoped ARs. I used Nikon P-Series rings on both.
They would be perfect for that scope. They are designed specifically
for the AR15 with a perfect rise and offset for most scopes made. <br>
<br>
( Nope! Not hard to guess at all. He will be fine with the P-Series
mounts for that scope. Not to mention, he can return them if they
aren't what he wants. )
answers6: Yeah, he'll be surprised all right. That's always a bad idea
when you don't have a clue what to do. Either go to a store and ask or
take him to the store and he can get EXACTLY what he wants, ok ?

Fashion careers/fashion journalism ?

answers1: If you want to be a fashion journalist major in journalism.
Simple as that. But you could also major in mass communications to
have broader career choices. Either or would be applicable but you
might be better with a mass communications major. <br>
You should look into Syracuse University or Boston University if you
want to journalism/media. They have strong communication programs and
quite a few fashion editors, journalists, and marketers have hailed
from those schools. <br>
Parsons, Fashion Institute of Technology, and even Pratt Institute are
schools that are reputable fashion design schools. You should look
into all them.

FASHION INTERVIEW NEEDED ASAP! PLEASE HELP!?

answers1: When did you become interested in fashion design? <br>
I have always been interested and at a very early age started making
my own clothing from old shirts and pants and also the scraps from
that to use for others. <br>
<br>
How long how you actually been involved in fashion design? <br>
For about 12 years I have been involved with fashion and design. I
never payed attention to what everyone else said was "in fashion" and
just did that I thought was stylish. <br>
<br>
What advice do you have for people who want fashion design to be a
part of their future? <br>
Follow what you believe in. In every business people are going to cut
you down or use your ideas. Keep to yourself and always know you can
and will succeed if you stay true to yourself. <br>
<br>
Do you think fashion only applies to clothes? <br>
Fashion applies to everything - how you look, how your house looks,
and even how you carry yourself can be discribed as fashionable or
lame. <br>
<br>
How long do you think fashion has been around? <br>
Always. Even in the "barbaric" times they had different ways of making
clothes and dying them. <br>
<br>
What fashions do you think teenagers like the most? <br>
Accessories. Parents sometimes make you wear long shirts and even
longer pants. Accessories are a fun way of looking fashionable while
apeasing your parents' taste. <br>
<br>
How much does a fashion education cost? <br>
Depends on where you go. Community college is usually recommended for
more hands-on training. Its cheaper, funner, and more care-free. <br>
<br>
What materials are commonly used for fashion designing? <br>
Unfortunately leather, wool, and other animal-derived fabrics. I am a
vegan and disapprove of this. I think that's why people like my
styles. I give sexy, cruelty-free fashion. <br>
<br>
What is your favorite kind of fashion? <br>
Accessories. Most importantly, anything that sparkles. I personally am
crazy for cubic zerconia. <br>
<br>
If you were a professional fashion designer what would your fashions
look like? <br>
Like nothing you've ever seen before! ;) <br>
<br>

Thursday 31 October 2019

Does anyone know any colleges that are strong in humanities/ writing?

answers1: Well, any liberal arts college will be good for the
humanities/the arts. here are just some from different regions, I'm
not sure where you want to go just yet. Yale, Columbia, Boston
College, Emory, Birmingham Southern, UCLA, Rhodes College, University
of Chicago, Stanford, USC, Duke, Georgetown, and possibly Washington
University. just check out the school's website, and if you still are
undecided, go to collegeboard.com for more info and a list of more
schools.

if you are the president of world,what would you do for the humanities?

answers1: Nothing. Because government is the root of all evil and
every problem that exist in this world right now. Religion is a close

to the places they ****** over for crimes against humanity. <br>

how humanities important in your lives?

answers1: James B. Conant, the founding president of the University of
Chicago put it like this: "Humanities education is not for making a
living; it is for making a life." <br>
<br>
Sad to say, this concept is in danger of getting lost now that
everyone is desperate to get a college degree that will qualify them
for a job. Of course that is important, but so is learning something
about how we got to where we are now (history), what people in the
past have said about life (literature) and how else they expressed
themselves (music, visual arts, sculpture.) <br>
<br>
These studies may not guarantee anyone a job, but without them, our
lives are sadly impoverished. <br>
<br>
You might guess that I was a humanities major in college; English
Literature and Writing with a minor in Psychology. <br>
<br>
Oddly enough, I managed to get a job as a newspaper reporter, from
which I retired a couple of decades ago. It definitely paid the
mortgage -- also bought the food, fed the kids, and kept us in a
reasonably decent lifestyle.

What are some good art schools?

answers1: Pratt, RISD, School of Arts Chicago, California Institute of Arts
answers2: I think I just answered your question about the online
programs at Academy of Art University, but wanted to answer here as
well. <br>
<br>
Academy of Art University is a great school to go to for Photography.
I studied it there and learned a lot! Since all of their instructors
are industry experts, I was able to get a lot of valuable information,
while preparing for success in life after college. Once I graduated, I
landed a great job. Some of my friends who have graduated from there
have also gone on to work for big-name companies. You can see a list
of companies that hire Academy grads by visiting
http://www.academyart.edu/photography-school/index.html. <br>
<br>
The online classes are unlike any others in the world. You can see
demonstrations of online classes here:

whether or not that format works for you.

is graffiti art or vandalism?

answers1: I think it depends on the quality and content of the
graffiti. There are some amazing artists who choose to use their
talents in the wrong place. However, I think it can be wonderful art,
and still be vandalism. So, both, I guess.
answers2: It depends on what the person is expressing, in my opinion. <br>
If someone is making a political statement, or is painting a mural or
whatever, then it's art. <br>
However, if a person paints "penis" in really big letters on an
overpass (as is usually the case), then I don't consider it art at
all. <br>
The same goes for gang signs. <br>
I used to have one painted on a railroad sign close to where I lived
when I was little, and it scared me to death knowing that that was
going on so close to where I lived.
answers3: It's vandalism if you don't do it on your own property. It's
art if you do it where you're allowed to.
answers4: Some of it is interesting, but a lot of it is silly, like a
big heart with "Bobbie loves Billie Sue" written on the inside. Some
graffiti (you must know this) conceals coded information from one gang
to another. This type of graffiti is a public menace.
answers5: Graffiti is a Art but when it is expressed on
buildings/freeways/fences/schools- homes/ is is VANDILISM FOR
SURE........and Punishable by law!!! <br>
<br>
<br>
Sounds Like there is a Artist in you trying to get out...Take some art
classes - what most artists use is a CANVAS.....these are cheap to
buy go to a arts and crafts store they come in different sizes and
spray away your art style on this canvas ..you could start a new
trend and have sidewalk showings like at arts and craft fairs...I am
sure you are not the only one who enjoys this Art style..I have seen
some very beautiful Graffiti and some pretty crappy ones.Some cities
allow a artist to use a side of a building and actually commission/pay
you for your art !! <br>
<br>
Dont be a CRIMINAL ARTIST/VANDAL .....BE A REAL ARTIST do it
right...If you dont then someone else will come and spray right over
your graffitti creating a ugly graffiti ...just so you know....when
Vandals Graffiti neighborhoods the property values go down and
most people look at these areas as High crime neighborhoods...and want
to more or not buy a home there. <br>
<br>

answers6: I say both. But I think graffiti makes the buildings
colorful otherwise they are kinda dull. But I don't like graffiti that
is just crayola markers, Spraypaint looks way better.
answers7: Art is a broad topic and graffiti could be considered art. <br>
<br>
The important thing, even if it is art, it is vandalism, unless it is
on your own property or with permission of the property owner.
answers8: i no what u mean i think its really pretty too. but it is
vandalism. usually the graffiti are showing gang signs. if only they
used there art for good.
answers9: When trying to define what we see, we often want to attach a
label to something in order to give it substance. Unfortunately,
labels aren't always accurate. On the street a passer-by could
identify graffiti as urban filth or as simple vandalism. Others might
argue that graffiti enhances the urban landscape and provides telling

how did cameras effect art?

answers1: They added to the ways people can produce art.
answers2: "They also slowed down the growth of painting." <br>
<br>
i have to disagree...if anything it did the opposite. photography
caused painters to experiment more. modern art started around the
same time as people were taking photographs. that's not a coincidence.

filming. <br>

Liberal Arts College?

answers1: Basically any college in the US, save some online academies,
and 'tech' schools (like Triangle Tech, DeVry etc) ARE Liberal Arts
colleges. Liberal Arts refers to the medeival European system of
college, where students are trained in a wide array of subjects. So,
when you go to college, whether MIT, or Swarthmore, or Harvard, or
Penn State, or Clarion, you'll take your "core" courses, in your
major, but you'll also take Electives. These electives are the
"liberal arts" education. <br>
I took classes in Chemistry, Astronomy, Art History, Humanities,
Psychology, Basketball, US History and a lot of other electives when I
earned my degree in Music Ed.
answers2: A liberal arts college does not mean that all it offers are
degrees in liberal arts, as implied by the other poster. It does mean
that they offer a range of courses from which you can still choose a
major in a particular field. Although they do not usually offer
degrees in engineering, architecture, pharmacy or other professional
fields. <br>
<br>
In my opinion no degree is wasted if you know what to do with it. <br>
There are unlimited career opportunities with any degree IF you know
how to use it effectively. Most don't. <br>

martial arts !!!!!!!?

answers1: The martial art of "Use Your Brain and Your Heart" <br>
Martial arts is about listening, so no martial art can out weigh
another. You just have to put focus into the one you're learning. I
have a friend who took down two black belts from some MMA studio. He
had never taken a martial arts lesson in his life. I garuntee you,
that in each of the martial arts you listed, you will find just as
many weaknesses as you find strengths. It's up to you to seek them out
with your heart and mind. Choosing a martial art is a personal choice.
You must decide which martial art is best for you, by doing the one
which makes you feel most comfortable, it will allow you to learn the
"Art - as in something you use to express yourself" better.
answers2: MMA isn't a style. It's a system of combining martial arts. <br>
<br>
But I guess ignoring semantics, I'd have to say MMA, and Jujutsu
answers3: TFT. <br>
<br>
All of those types of martial arts are contradictory in conditioning.
Conditioning is the only thing that creates defense and attacking is
done from opportunities. <br>
<br>
It's all about your size and shape and what lets you function the
best. That's if you can afford the commitments. Then, if you do any
of those you gain things to add to an arsenal of what may or may not
possibly work. <br>
<br>
It's better to learn about each, then create something that works
amazing for you and would mess someone's coordination up for trying to
copy or else, they just adjust by seeing what you do and doing
something stronger. Don't let that happen, learn to fight with
momentum of being engaged so when you ride that wave of mental follow
through (you're movin, if they stop you, a lot of force would be
needed, you are on a roll, like hitting all the green lights and not
having to stop). <br>
<br>
It will be like, hitting a routine or daily grind, and allow for more
creative adjustments. But never commit to what you might be demanded
alegence too or else you might miss that adjustment that makes your
dreams possible.
answers4: first of all my friend most martial arts are not strike
first at all. What I mean by this is there is no first strike in
karate. It is the basic principle to be peaceful unless attacked then
use force within necessary means to control your attacker. I do like
traditonal martial arts being in them off and on for 32yrs man and
trained in many forms of martial arts and what i will call self
defense arts. <br>
Self defense arts are Krav Maga, Hapkido, Aikido, Juijitsu, Muay Thai,
Boxing, Jeet Kune Do, and more that are concerned with protection in
itself. <br>
Aikido takes quite awhile to grasp and learn to become effective as do
many traditional martial arts like karate,Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido. Kenpo
is a highly effective blend of kung fu/karate mixed. Chinese kempo is
another excellent martial art to learn. <br>
Many Indonesian weapons arts, japanese weapon arts like kenjutsu,
kendo, iaido, are highly effective. These are only as effective as you
put into your particular style of training and discipline to stay with
them. <br>
Karate always in there kata or forms has a block followed by a
particular strike. Tae Kwon Do is the same way. Aikido and Hapkido use
blending with your advissary to off balance and throw them by leading
them away and out in a type of circular pattern to avoid being taken
down or hit or kicked. <br>
I like the best form is " use your brain and common sense" to learn
what is needed to become effective. <br>
MMA is a fighting sport so they have a ref in the cage controlling the
rules of the fight. The street only has one rule..to stay alive and
you must use common sense" or you can be killed. It is not the movies
out there. It is the real deal, weapons, knives, baseball bats, you
name it people who are up to no good use whatever means to hurt
someone or possibly kill. Stay alert and focus on what is in front of
you at all times and around you not your smartphone. Situational
awareness is the most common sense thing we can do to avoid most if
not all situations. <br>
Take care my friend....
answers5: wing chun has a lot of practicality for striking, but they
have a really tough time against boxers, particularly the jab. <br>
boxing seems to be judged a lot in the martial arts community, but the
truth is it is a good martial art to do because the main thing is
covering your head and delivering powerful strikes, which is really a
smart thing when you think about it. <br>
i haven't had any experience with krav maga, but considering the place
it comes from it must be really effective. <br>
all of this is just handy dandy until the fight goes to the ground, in
which case jujitsu is a must. <br>
so take boxing and jujitsu
answers6: All forms are useful. 90% of all real fights end up on the
ground so I like Jiu Jitsu. Of course you need a good stand up game as
well so have a strong base in that as well. To really be able to
defend yourself mixed marital arts is the best.

Suggestions for LaGuardia highschool audition?

answers1: My daughter is a student at Laguardia. She is in the art
studio (what some schools call "visual art".) <br>
<br>
I would not recommend including anything in your portfolio that you
are not comfortable with. If you feel that you are not strong in
painting, don't include any painting. I don't think that will hurt
your chances as long as the portfolio shows a variety of work that is
truly representative of who you are as an artist, and shows a strong
interest in art and a great deal of skill. <br>
<br>
I don't think it's a question of more or less work, as long as you
meet the minimum number of works in your portfolio. But your portfolio
should have enough in it to show yourself off to YOUR best advantage.
It should show who you are and what you are capable of. <br>
<br>
Does that help?

Is Ucla a good school for majoring in Visual Arts?

answers1: It's a good school. It's situated right near Hollywood and
is quite prestigious. You can also try USC if you have the money and
it's not as competitive or hard to get in. To me, it seems anyone can
get in there.
answers2: I don't mean to be crass as having achieved any degree at
all is something to be respected for, especially a PhD, but math and
engineering, sciences in general, solve real world problems logically.
When it comes to liberal arts, it's kind of like you just fluff about
to prove your opinion (which is the operative word here) is correct
and others isn't. You don't really solve anything people care about,
and the only people that care about it is those studying that area.
Again, no offence, this is just the perception associated with it. I
don't believe it is a case (usually) is of "we're better than you",
it's more that the liberal arts just don't do much.

how are music and visual arts alike ?

answers1: They both contain a message and express emotion. Visual arts
can also inspire composers to write masterpieces, just as music can
inspire painters to paint the next Mona Lisa. Hope this helps :)
answers2: They both express what cannot be expressed in words...
they're a medium for emotion. All great artists are passionate about
what they do.

Is my knowledge of visual arts very limited?

answers1: I just took the quiz, it was pretty fun. I missed one. <br>
<br>
So I did well, but it is part of my degree so I've been actively
studying this stuff and really in depth. Perhaps you know a wide range
of art, but don't study it really in depth? Or you know a narrow bit,
but really, really well. Everything about it? <br>
<br>
Art history is really indepth. I don't care how well I did on this
test, because when I'm talking to my art history teacher and painting
professor I feel like I know nothing and have to study for decades
just to reach half the knowledge they have. <br>
<br>
If I'm not sure if my knowledge of a time period is very limited or
not, I assume I know nothing and take a class on it. I might end up
already knowing a bit of it, but I'll always learn something. I'd hate
to think I knew everything and then miss out on learning.
answers2: everyone has limited knowledge of visual arts, it doesn't
matter how much one knows or thinks they know... <br>
from the looks of the quize pablo picasso himself would score low... <br>
it is a matter of how much one has studied actually, and then what
they've read and what it said...
answers3: No, not by any means. Art by its nature is very broad, so
it's impossible to know everything. What's important is that you
personally have an interest in the subject. <br>
<br>
I have a degree in art history, and I didn't get them all right
either. Don't pay any attention to quizzes like this - there's really
no accurate gauge to measure what the extent of your knowledge is.
Keep on learning, but make sure it's for your own benefit!
answers4: ART IS SO DEEP AND SO COMPLEX. <br>
IT IS AN EXPRESSION OF ONES FEELING, and you know how complicated
people are. <br>
<br>
so basically, EVERYBODY IS LIMITED.
answers5: I missed the one about Albrecht Durer's coat of arms, and
successfully guessed a few that I didn't actually know. :D <br>
<br>
It's just an online quiz. I did notice that a lot of the questions
were more about picking the right word than the right painting,
artist, or movement. And the scope of the test was fairly limited.
They may not have touched on the areas you know most about. <br>
<br>
I wouldn't let it get to me.

Acting showcases? Acting training? ACTING!!!!?

answers1: if your school has them, do plays and drama classes. look in
the phone book for community <br>
theaters, some of them might have classes. try doing student and ind.
films. you will probably need to get out of fremont to do this. that's
the thing about per suing acting, it can't be done from every <br>
where. you need to be where there are acting opportunities, that's a
given. most show cases <br>
are just fronts for expensive acting classes. look on SAG'S web site
for approved agents. you <br>
will need to get to where the agents are if none are near you. you
need to be within at least <br>
an hour and a half of where the auditions and your agent are to do
this. you will need a parent who will do this with you before you can
do anything.

why was the sedition act dangerous?

answers1: It took away freedom of speech which is guaranteed in the
First Amendment. <br>
<br>
It forbade the use of "disloyal, profane, scurrilous, or abusive
language" about the United States government, its flag, or its armed
forces or that caused others to view the American government or its
institutions with contempt. The act also allowed the Postmaster
General to refuse to deliver mail that met those same standards for
punishable speech or opinion. It applied only to times "when the
United States is in war." It was repealed on December 13, 1920.

How to act around ur crush ?

answers1: all you have to do is talk to however it is...but dont talk
about yourself cuz youll just sound selfcentered...laugh at all the
jokes they make to make them feel good and when ever you can make some
type of physical contact with them such as nudging, playful pushing,
or just grab their hand
answers2: Act natural. Be yourself. Nonchalantly point out the things
you have in common whether it be sports, movies, food.. etc. to maybe
get that persons attention and grow from there. <br>
<br>
I hope I was able to help a little bit.
answers3: Act like you like the person, but you could live without
them. People want what they can't have.
answers4: Act yourself, of course. No one likes a weirdo.
answers5: act the same way you act around your normal none crush friends.
answers6: Be cool and calm. Don't act up and act a fool. See I have a
hard time doing this and I don't wanna blame my ADHD but that pretty
much my problem. Ask how their days going and be cool and calm thats
basicaly what you have to do. Try and see if it helps
answers7: Dont Be Nervous Be Yourself Maybe He'll Notice How Funny
Cute You Are;; Let Him Approach You
answers8: Try to act as normal as possible. But, throw in a few more
smiles and eye contact. Don't crowd them, and don't keep touching
them.
answers9: act like you would normally <br>
try to be friends <br>
if it doesnt work out then move on <br>
even if you dont get with them romantically, maybe u can just be friends
answers10: Act like there your friend, not best friend but classmate
friend, never ever stare at them too long though, and just act
content, not overly happy or not happy at all. HOpe this helps :)

what is the data protection act 1998?

answers1: The Data Protection Act 1998 is a United Kingdom Act of
Parliament which defines UK law on the processing of data on
identifiable living people. It is the main piece of legislation that
governs the protection of personal data in the UK. Although the Act
itself does not mention privacy, it was enacted to bring UK law into
line with the European Directive of 1995 which required Member States
to protect people's fundamental rights and freedoms and in particular
their right to privacy with respect to the processing of personal
data. In practice it provides a way for individuals to control
information about themselves. Most of the Act does not apply to
domestic use,[1] for example keeping a personal address book. Anyone
holding personal data for other purposes is legally obliged to comply
with this Act, subject to some exemptions. The Act defines eight data
protection principles. It also requires companies and individuals to
keep personal information to themselves.

Why did the church officially oppose theatre?

answers1: They considered it Roman...pagan, full of whores, obscenity,
blasphemy, evil, etc. IIRC, they refused to baptize anyone who
participated in stage plays.

hating theatre and drama? I've no idea why. My church is all for it.

can any theatre deny showing marathi cinema in his theatre?

answers1: Any theatre can refuse to show any movie that it deems
inappropriate for that cinema as long as its got a justification that
isn't prejudiced. <br>
<br>
In the case this, there isn't enough demand. Only 10% is marathi. Not
all of that 10% will go see every movie they play. there are a
significant portion that will not go and see any movie played. There
is a high probability of the cinema loosing money. <br>
<br>

a demand. Start a petition saying that people want it and have a lot
of people sign it. A LOT

What inspired Greek Theatre?

answers1: Both of the first two answers are correct. <br>
<br>
@Penelope: Let me guess... Antigone??
answers2: greek theater started in 12th century b.C. <br>
drama was used as apart of the celebrations for dionysus in dionysian
(athens) <br>
drama flourished though between 550 bC and 220 bC <br>
Dionysus is the god of grape harvest and during those celebrations
people were wearing masks with horns and tried to reach ecstasy in
order to reach their god
answers3: Ancient Greek Theatre which is known as Drama was the result
of combination of two poetry forms, Epos and Lyric Poetry. It is
linked to religious rites which happened to honour Zeus, Hera,
Dionysus or other Olympians. Part of Dionysus's worship was "Ecstasy"
which demanded the practitioners to be dressed in costumes (animals'
leathers). Myths were the first themes of drama, mainly about
Dionysus's life and adventures. Later other myths about wars were
included too. Drama was a great way to point current problems in an
indirect way. This means that each writer changed myths to what he
wanted to say, to emphasize the problems that needed to be changed.
<br>
<br>
We must also mention that theater was a type of school in ancient
Greece that even poor people could attend (rich people were obliged to
pay for them). <br>
<br>
@winterbee No, not Antigone, I think I threw that book away. It's
Evripidis-Eleni.

Is poetry cool?

answers1: If you're into it, yes. If you like it, don't lower your
standards to a girl that wouldn't. Always be yourself. You'll come out
at some point so if you're always you... you'll find a girl that's
compatible for who you truly are. Personally, I love poetry and would
go crazy over a guy comfortable enough with himself to carry a poetry
book around with him. I recommend a Robert Frost book, but it'd be
ever better if it were a book of poetry you wrote...
answers2: Yes. Chicks dig guys who write poetry. When I was in
college it was a surefire way to strike up a conversation with a girl.
I think it would serve you well. Make sure you have poems in it
though. LOL
answers3: The ones who count, yeah, probably. The kinds of morons who
wait around trying to shoplift at Walmart, probably not. Maybe you can
use it as a "separator".
answers4: Er...I don't see how poetry makes you a geek. It makes you
emotional, artistic, creative, and deep. I would associate someone
carrying around math textbooks and pens in their front pocket as a
geek. <br>
<br>
I would find it attractive because I know you are better than the
average guy who is super into his masculinity and toughness. haha
answers5: personally i like the deep hurt poetry, but if u carry round
a notebook u may seem like a geek, but if ur kinda emo looking it can
be hot. but don't try to do something ur not.
answers6: It might make SOME girls a little curious to know what's in
the book. Might be a good conversation piece.
answers7: Super
answers8: I say,no don't walk around with your poetry notebook but
defiantly try to start the subject and show her ur poetry, or write
her something right there. that would be really romantic n cool. and
some thing to tell you poetry dose not make look like u a geek. Ignore
all those that said that. poetry makes you unique,talented,
attractive, thoughtful, ... you name it. NWYAS, GOOD LUCK.
answers9: Sorry but i don't think so, unfortunately there are very few
girls who appreciate poetry, many girls will probably think you're gay
or just a geek.
answers10: depends poetry a good way to express yourself forget what
people thinks.

I have started a Poetry group. Would you like to join?

answers1: roses are red violets are blue i just got 2 points how
stupid are you...
answers2: i know this to be a farse so stick your group right up your A R S E
answers3: If you open your site to all people who claim to be truly
devoted to poetry and there's no objective standard, you're going to
wind up reading a lot of bad poetry. <br>
<br>
Frankly, life's too short to waste my time with bad poetry. <br>
<br>
If you're going to screen people and only let in people who you think
write good poetry, then everyone that joins will share your taste in
poetry but since I have no idea if you and I share our taste for
poetry, again, there's the risk that if I join that I'll be exposed to
a lot of bad poetry. <br>
<br>
So thanks but no thanks.
answers4: Rose are red, violets are blue <br>
I have to say no, poetry's poo

I want to start a poetry club....?

answers1: My school has a semester course titled Creative Writing,
which focuses on using the imagination to create both short stories
and poems alike, in the fall, and in the spring the course is replaced
with a production class for a school print called the Jabberwocky,
named after Carrol's creature, that is a once-yearly collection of
poetry and stories from the school body entire. <br>
<br>
However, a quarterly magazine would be very different, and would most
likely lack the resources necessary unless you devoted holidays and
summer to adding to it. <br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Now, as to what is done in a poetry club, definitely start by
introducing a set style of poetry that is simple and easy to use, like
Haiku or Limericks, and after a few meetings (encourage work outside
of the club as well) have a presentation of some works members are
particularly proud of. After this introduce a new style, and repeat
the cycle until all the members feel comfortable with presenting their
material to each other, and then introduce the idea for a magazine.
<br>
Keep it to a once or twice yearly deal, though, because trust me:
putting out a poetry magazine is a lot harder than it sounds.

Careers that involve philosophy?

answers1: Teaching, counseling and human resources management. In fact
philosophy can be useful in any field, without which easy and quick
success cannot be achieved.
answers2: Not much really, as someone mentioned before, it looks good
for law school...but law school in itself can be a risky investment,
the standards are very high, the pay is low, the demand for them is
low, honestly I would just change major, I understand if you love
philosophy, I mean who doesn't? We are all philosophers at heart, but
it's one of those things that are better off left as a smart hobby.
answers3: ha. go to grad school. that is your only hope. then teach
it. there is nothing else. <br>

looking back at my answer it seemed rather hopeless, but i swear i
meant it to be the best of advise... <br>

answers5: A certainty seeker can do in basic terms approximately

the fact it is an entire waste of time. we are doomed for dying. the
only secret to sparkling up is why we hassle ourselves with trivial
worldly issues.

requires analytic thinking and high levels of abstraction, really,
though these positions often aren't entry level.

Is Boethius a winner? Is Philosophy unfeeling?

answers1: Boethius is remembered today. That is one definition of
immortality and makes him a winner to me.. We need an objective
definition of "winner" to universalize my conclusion. <br>

In Boethius" conversation with Lady philosophy he (or she) says that
there is a higher power and everything else is subordinate to that. I
conclude that Lady Philosophy is not wholly unfeeling but feelings are
not the highest priority.

answers1: Is philosophy critical to science? <br>
<br>
~~~ In a way. Science is a feeder branch of the tree of philosophy!
Many scientists fear philosophers, and vice versa, out of ignorance of
the other's abilities. A philosopher can make a whole area of
scientific inquiry, many theories, obsolete, with one good thought!
Philosophy without science is a leaky ship with no rudder!! <br>
<br>
Ultimately, they are the same tree! The tree of philosophy has many
branches, and one does not 'cause' the other. 'Causality' is made
obsolete by philosophy first. Science is finally catching up in many
areas. Empiricism, science, is an obsolete theory, as found by quantum
theory!
answers2: Yes, in one sense it is impossible to separate philosophy
and science, because when you do that, you are doing philosophy. <br>
<br>
Scientist might not care about the philosophical assumptions their
making, just as a baseball player doesn't care about the physics of
hitting a ball. Yet physics is essential to baseball, just as
philosophy is essential to science. <br>
<br>
I think some of these courses, particularly the one of philosophy of
science, can answer your question far better than I could. (link
What aspects would be involved in a philosophy career?
answers1: A philosopher can do just about anything for a career for
everything teaches you something and one thing leads to another.. <br>
However a true philosopher wouldn't bother helping mankind because
it's a total waste of time. We are doomed for death. <br>
The only mystery to solve is why we bother ourselves with trivial
worldly things.
answers2: It involves going to a 4 year college and then on to 6-10
years of graduate study, both in philosophy. If you decide not to
major in philosophy in college, it would take longer; another two
years for a masters degree. <br>
Philosophy involves many aspects; it involves having to teach classes
you may not be particularly interested in, as well as taking classes
you may not be particularly interested in. You have to take grueling
logic classes, at least Logic, Advanced Logic, and normally Modal
logic. It also involves a lot of reading, far more than it does actual
writing and publishing. <br>
<br>
Unfortunately, getting into grad school is extremely difficult, at
least one of the top 10. From then, getting a job as a professor is
far more difficult, and is really the only way to have a real
"philosophy degree" unless you count writing books like "The
philosophy of X" where X is some silly pop culture triviality, a
career in philosophy. <br>
<br>
In short, you should only actually consider a career in philosophy if
it is the only thing you can see yourself doing, regardless of what
your future holds. <br>
<br>
As for what "Lady Death" said, she's completely wrong. A true
philosopher doesn't hold any inclinations that mankind is doomed or
that we're all evil, or what not; that's simple sophistry. There a lot
of things that make up what a philosopher could be, but it's certainly
not with some silly and arbitrary bi-conditional that she [I presume]
made up.
answers3: Roger Ebert is a philosopher. He is a philosopher of the
aesthetics of movie making. Movie makers are philosophers, because
they present us with metaphysics (that what art is about) but movies
can also involve any or all of the other aspects of philosophy. <br>
<br>
It's impossible to actually answer your question, because it depends
on what profession you go into. Medicine, science, law, are all
dealing with various aspects of philosophy; and ethics are big part of
each of them. There are professionals who deal with ethics in every
profession. Certified public accountants, for example have their
Professional Ethics Executive Committee. Every profession has such
committees. <br>
<br>
<br>
Novelists are like movie makers, giving us a metaphysical view of
existence. Political scientists teach us the nature of rights, where
they come from, and how to protect them. Diplomacy is a very
specialized form of political science (the 4th branch of philosophy).
<br>
<br>
Pick your profession, and then ask what it will engage you in. If you
don't like the requirements of that profession, pick another. If you
want to be in academia, for example, you will be dealing with students
and you will be required to write books and papers. Is that what you
want, or do you want to be on a Board of Ethics; or directing movies;
or working for the White House?
answers4: Well expect not to make any money unless you become a
professor. And what Lady Death said....
answers5: Many end up as sort of interesting cab drivers.
Studying philosophy can be very helpful toward obtaining a law degree,
but that is law, not pure philosophy.
