Best rapper alive (based on following scale)?

Manie Labat: eminem, he's got killer flow, and delivery, his punchlines are hard, nobody can say the em' not original, his content actually talks about something unlike alot of the rappers out there. his word play is good to. i give him like an 8-9 and anyone who doesn't believe me should check out his diss tracks, like bump heads, and hail marry...Show more

Hunter Beech: In my pearsonal opinion Chamillionaire

Silvia Stclair: Eminem -8Jay Z- 8Ludacris- 7.5

Curtis Josef: jay-z may have more awards and been out longer but lil wayne makes better music thats why i give lil wayne a 10

Jesse Pirieda: Jay Z has easily been the best rapper over the past decade, he gets a 10 on all the above apart from writing skills obviously. However, Cassidy in my opinion comes in at a very close 2nd. His flow and delivery are crazy and his punchlines and metaphors are something else. No other MC comes even close (excluding Jay z) Just a shame he's so underated.

T! ereasa Sorensen: its the one and only J-z holla back younging

Riley Migl: Lil Wayne-8Jay-Z-8.5Nas-8.5

Billie Bratchett: Flow- Mos DefDelivery- Andre 3000Punchlines- Joe BuddenWordplay- NasOriginality- Andre 3000Content- NasMetaphors- CommonWriting Skills- NasA tie between Nas and Andre 3000 with the scale tipping to Nas...Show more

Shawn Lelis: lil wayne blows them all away! just listen to his free styles.10

Hans Sachetti: Lil Wayne, Nas, Jay-Z, Rakim, Eminem, I rate them all 9.

An Cardine: lil wayne 10

Delora Struzzi: Nas-8

Nicolasa Henke: Jay-Z, straight 10's all the way....Nas is better lyrically but he has zero stage presence....Jay can rock a crowd live...plus Jay has alot of party anthems and clubbangers...10 albums deep..not counting collabos and special appearences LL Cool J has a larger catalog as the 1st offical Def Jam artist but Jay Z is just a little more nicer with his delivery and flow...he sets trends...there are du! des who base their whole careers on being his successor....Lil! Wayne, T.I., 50 Cent, Ludacris ,and etc...Biggie and Pac died before reaching Jay's level...there has never been a rapper with a hot streak as long as his...he is the Micheal Jordan of recording. Also, Jay claims that he dose'nt write but he used to be a ghost writer for other artists before he blew up....and did songs with Big L, M.O.P., Big Daddy Kane, and Mic Geronimo......as far as Biggie was concerned, he felt that was his closest competitor outside of Tupac but they knew each other from high school and being from Brooklyn...they just became allies...Show more

Gwenda Micheals: I would say KRS-ONE:flow--9 delivery--10punchlines--7wordplay--8originality--10content--10metaphors--7writing skills--10I chose him since he is the innovator and in categories like originality and content he is supreme. He is the creator of the 16 bar rhyme style the original style all great emcees are measured by. His content is serves the needs of Hip Hop and not soley the needs or hi! mself. I know you are gonna get a lot of Tupac responses (why I don't know) and Rakim. Not to take anything from Rakim, but he gets too much credit for being the best ever with little material to back this up. What he did in the past is still quality and classic, but he does the appear and disappear thing too much for my taste. 1993-1995 the best years lyrically in Hip Hop, KRS a veteran by this time was holding his own with the best of them. At any rate, I Iike the way you arranged your categories. I can tell you are a Hip Hop Head.Second on my list would be Ras Kass.My honorable mention in no particular order are:Kool Moe DeeBig Daddy KaneJay ZRakimSlick RickSnoop DawgKuruptChino XLNasCanibusLudacris (would love to hear a non-crunk style album from him)Red ManMethod ManGame (believe it or not)EminemNotorious B.I.G....Show more

Peter Lapoint: JAY Z - 9.5 (do u have the reasonable doubt cd? there's ur answer)NAS - 9.0 (ill flow, ill words, ill beatz)JADAKISS - 9.025! (can come off monotone BUT WORDS ARE SICK)DON'T FORGET BIGGIE!! He sta! rted it all -- freestylin' on da block!LIL WAYNE / LIL WEEZY ANA - Grew into his own style and has a mad skillz w/wordz / punchlines / orginality / meatphors -- HIS MIX TAPES ARE SICK!!...Show more

Andrew Sinatra: RAKIM 10

Clinton Migliori: This has to be LL Cool J in his battle rapping days. Or in todays light it would have to be TI.

Natalya Sydney: Lil'Wayneflow~5delivery~10punchlines~10wordplay~9originality~7content~10metaphors~10writing skills~9...Show more

Ivan Velazquez: Well maybe not the "best" rapper alive, that is really hard to pick out for me. However Ill scale T.I. for you, as hes one of my favorite rappersFlow- 10/10 , TI has an amazing flowDelivery- 9/10 I think his delivery is great, whether its laid back or hes trying to harden it up he can pull it off with easePunchlines- 6/10 not the greatest with punches but definitely not the worstWordplay- 7/10 again not the greatest but he can be very good, his flow makes his wordplay even bett! erOriginality- 10/10 there arent any rappers out there that sound like TI, or have his flow or personalityContent- 6/10 nothing groundbreaking, but better than some he can switch up his content and not just talk about one thing all the timeMetaphors- 3/10 I may be wrong on this, but I dont think he uses alot of metaphors- but maybe I dont listen well enoughWriting Skills- 8/10 very good at writing long flowing rhymes with great lyrical abilityHope thats a decent "review", its hard for me to do scales....Show more

Chet Nozick: Well not a perfect top list but close to it in my alowed time frameJay-Z (flow, delivery, originality (sometimes), are good)Nas (writing skills, delivery, originality, content are good)Redman (wordplay, punchlines, content, originality, metaphors, writing skills, delivery and flow are all unique and very good)P Diddy (Best writing ever) JUST KIDDING lolI dont know. Each rapper has ups/downs. My favorite artist in rap is Jay-Z but I will agree wit! h people that he's not the "best" in a lot of categories. He just puts ! out so many hits and usually has a unique style and original song so its hard not to listen to his stuff....Show more

Billie Bratchett: Lil Wayne has the total package!!

Malissa Porth: Rev Run

Dannie Briseno: Although he says everything is off the top of his head, Jay Z is still the best. Wait til you hear the song "Watch What You Say" off of T.I's new album!! So a 10!!!

Margy Sandquist: lil wayne = 7 or 8.

Joaquin Dronko: My friend most of the voters are not the people who listened to 90's rap sure there might be a few voters who did but for the most part they were the teenagers of today. Seeing as they have probably haven't taken out the time to listen to AZ they would logically vote for whoever they have listened to. Take this for an example I remember it being Nas vs. AZ in a match-up and when the results came in Nas blew AZ out of the water. Why? Well it's obvious because most of them have never listened to AZ and probably because their ! fondest memory of Nas is listening to I Know I Can which was a decent song for the young ones of our nation. So my friend what I am trying to say is the tournament is not a joke the people who voted made it seem as a joke when instead they were expressing their opinion on who they have listened to and who they have not listened to. My opinion on the Eminem quote would be that he is humble in his statement and that he realizes this is a huge honor to be the most adored by the fans of Hip-Hop. In turn I think Eminem shouldn't really care because I can tell he is not an individual yet even after 35-years on this planet. I applaud him on kicking his drug addiction but he must realize that the more time he spends caring about what the fans think or what his A&R executives think then he will never be an individual. So in closing I would want Eminem to learn from his mistakes and become a better artist and better person....Show more

Delmy Varano: It has to be Nasir Jones!!fl! ow= 8/10delivery=10/10punchlines=7/10wordplay=10/10originality=10/10con! tent=10/10metaphors=7/10writing skills=10/10...Show more

Irvin Guiles: Jay-z and his 500 plus million dollars hands down. get a 9I've been into hip hop since the 80's and no one is more consistant and grew like Jay-z. he's not a young guy anymore and it reflects in his albums.

Adrian Sherlin: AZ brings an eastcoast vibe with lyrics that bring thoughts in your head. Definitly one of the realest Mc's

Hal Palowoda: Jay Z

Arlen Hamper: KOOL G RAPFLOW - 8 RApid Fire Delivery, rappers today have acknowleged him as the GODFATHER of Gangsta RapDelivery - 7Punchlines 8 - Ever since he was with DJ Polo to Mobb Deep To soul Assasins - Murda Musik by Mobb Deep.
