Is studying abroad in the summer worth it?

Sammie Bocanegra: Hello,I will say that studying abroad is unforgettable experience and you will remember it all your like. Study abroad is not only to put it on your resume, it is a mark in your like, it is a different culture life way from home. As a student you have Free elective classes that you can take abroad and transfer credits at your home institution. Just make sure that before you go abroad, have your student adviser approve the classes. You will spend semester or summer abroad and take the credits home. I will recommend you to go in Europe, Italy or Spain. Here is an organization that provide programs in those countries.http://www.studyabroadineurope.com/...Show more

Elissa Curlin: Hey there...I think you should instead of doing a study abroad program in Europe...instead do an internship abroad. It will look much better on your resume, set you apart from most of your other peers because you will have international work experience, and it will be the sam! e social experience as studying abroad (you get to live with other international students and go traveling together on the weekends). Check out a short-term business internship that you can do in Asia. By the way, I wouldn't really go to Europe for business since India is really an emerging market. Here is one intern's experience: http://leaveurmarkindia.blogspot.com/2012/08/inter...I would not tell you to study abroad because honestly it doesn't do much for your resume as a business student. With an internship abroad, you get to kill two birds with one stone. By the way, here you will see how you will also get a good travel experience: http://leaveurmarkindia.blogspot.com/2012/08/weeke...To apply go to: http://www.leaveurmark.com or email at info@leaveurmark.comGood luck!...Show more
