Derick Kinnard: Basically a tightly-knit family unit that's very traditional, conservative, and clean-cut. Daddy's working in the office, Mommy's at home cleaning and cooking and has no real job, the son goes to boy scouts and learns how to conform, the daughter is brought to be the passive obedient girl, the dog's barking at every living creature, both kids go to school and be good little kids, and everyone goes to church, either because they're trying to convince themselves it's what they believe or true, or because they fear being outcasts. Such an ideal is laiden with decay, sexual repression, oppression in general, sexism, and depression caused mainly by conformity, among other things. August Hubbard: By the evidence! , I'd say that conservatives' "family values" include cheating! on your wife, using prostitutes, cutting funding for children, women and the elderly, making women with unwanted pregnancies get killed in back alleys, shooting abortion providers, blowing up federal buildings, depriving their fellow citizens of health insurance and a host of other horrid policies and behaviors.
