Libertarian answer to the environment?

Stan Conley: It's China doing all the polluting these days. We have done our part for the world now convince the rest of the worlds population to do their part.

Ronnie Barcus: Another libertarian here. Not sure if I'm representing our party here, but here are my thoughts...We should all have the desire to make our environment healthy and keep it protected. But a government shouldn't be able to require a business to do so. (cap & trade, etc.). The free market me would desire a world where we don't buy from businesses that deeply harm the environment. But most times the cheapest option is from a process that involves pollution. But if we put more emphasis on environmental friendly things, we would see greater innovation, and eventually affordable prices for those things....Show more

Coleman Petropoulos: The Libertarian philosophy includes the 19th century notion that there should be no public property, thus no need for any environmental regulation. At most the! y consider polluted property abandoned by corporations to be in the public domain.

Shamika Schools: Libertarians generally believe that the safety of the environment should be taken care of by private groups outside of the government, rather than by a government agency.

Nikita Schroepfer: The point would be use the government to its real use along withe locals helping out taking better care.I would call for personal & social responsibility.
