What are some contemporary teen authors?

book published at... hmm, 18 or 19. To me, that age is still a teen.

I'm not sure but if you're looking for authors that write teen fiction
I would definitely recommend Chris Crutcher. He writes "realistic"
fiction for teens and doesn't dumb it down. He's also not afraid to
tell it like it is.
