Can vegetarians eat insects?

Lita Thammorongsa: They do whether they want to or not.

Corey Rohleder: Insects are vegetables, so I don't see why not.

Tomi Vauters: No. Vegetarians do not eat any meat or any type of animal (although they do eat animal by-products such as milk and eggs). As insects are animals, vegetarians do not eat them.

Moises Rupinski: No - insects are meat. Vegetarians do Not eat meat. Insects have intestinal tracts & other organs that make them living creatures.

Kenneth Blacker: No a vegetarian would never eat insects as they would be classed as meat .

Kenneth Thuesen: they do not like to kill and eat living animals. they will only kill and eat a living plant, as if there is a difference! insects are a free for all!
